Highly efficient multicascaded Raman lasers based on phosphosilicate fibers can be created at various wavelengths. The Raman shift of 1330 cm⁻¹ in phosphosilicate fibers is approximately three times larger than that in traditional germanium-doped fibers. This significant shift enables enhanced performance and broader wavelength coverage.

The output emission spectrum of a two-cascade Raman fiber laser operating at 1.48 µm is shown in the accompanying graph, demonstrating the efficiency and spectral characteristics of this laser design.
